Happy New Year!
As we move into 2002 I am still trying to figure out where 2001 went. Time sure goes by fast and we don't have any to waste. Our last day could be anyday, for we are only promised today, the Lord only knows tommorow. You know Sept. 11th those people in the World Trade Center had no idea that would be there last day on Earth. Prepared or not they were whisked away into eternity. So can I ask you if you where to die today do you know for sure where you will spend eternity? It's not a question anyone wants to say "no" to.

A Challenge
Can I ask you did you make any so called New Years resolutions? These usually involve loosing weight, quitting smoking, or other numerous things. They usually start out in full force, but by the end of Jan. are thrown out. Today I challenge you to do more than a resolution. I challenge you to start the year off on the right foot. I'm challenging you to read you Bible daily. I know in life's hustle and bustle we all slack and fail now and then. But this year make a promise to the Lord and yourself to find the time daily to spend time with God. Daily devotions is a good start and there are plenty of great devotional guides to put the Scripture into everyday life. The morning is a good time to spend time with the Lord, before your day starts and while things are still quiet.

Also remember to talk to the Lord in prayer. The Lord has plenty of time and is interestd in your life, and wants to hear from you. It is also a good time to find a church if you are currently not attending one. Fellowship with God's people plays and important role in the life of a healthy Christian. So as we enter into this year, start off with the desire to grow spiritually in 2002!

A Changing World
As we move into yet another year let us not forget the changes and happenings of the year gone past.
2001 was a trying year for many with the slowing economy, the Sept. 11th attacks, unstability of the stock markets, job insecurity and layoffs, and many many things. Sends people into depression and sometimes panic. But we as believers must understand that God is always in control and sees and knows all. He is with each and everyone of us and is willing to guide and help us through it all if we only ask. So as we enter into 2002 let us not forget to pray for our country, our leaders, servicemen, and our fellow americans. We all need prayer. So lets be examples and ambassadors for Christ in this year and make a difference in the live of others. I pray you will have a healthy and happy new year. God Bless!
